Pete was incredibly kind to offer to make a guitar-shaped end table. When I saw the quality of his craftsmanship, I said “Why don’t we make my dream guitar instead!”
I love how Pete embraced the idea even though he had never done anything like that before. Now the spalted alder is being transformed into a unique “replica” of Keith Richards’ famed telecaster guitar called “Micawber.”
When I saw it for the first time, I was in total awe. The finished product was spectacular and greatly surpassed my expectations. I just love the way Pete coaxed the natural beauty and soul out of the wood without using any stain or gimmicks. I cannot wait to hear the tone the wood produces!
